Top Link 2008
TOP Link is a national leadership project from the Youth Sports Trust, as part of the ‘Step into Sport’ programme, in which teams of 4 year 10 students work together, with the support of a member of staff, to plan and implement a sporting event for primary school children and then continue with volunteering within their own school.
On Tuesday 26 February teams from Ivybridge, Dartmouth, Tavistock and Kingsbridge Community Colleges attended the regional Top Link Conference which was held at the College of St Mark and St John in Plymouth. The students worked together and with students from the university to improve their leadership skills and begin planning their events.
These teams, plus a team from Okehampton College will now be working hard to plan exciting primary school events which will be held during the summer term during National School Sport Week.
