National Inter-schools Badminton Tournament Partnership Round - 13th December 2007
Dartmouth and Ivybridge Community College badminton teams played each other in the Partnership’s round of the National Inter-schools Badminton on the 13th December at the leisure centre in Ivybridge.
The teams played a mixture of singles and doubles using the new rally points scoring system. Dartmouth entered 4 teams and Ivybridge entered 7 teams.
There were some close games throughout the competition. Ivybridge however were stronger in the end and qualified through to the next round of the competition in all of the categories.
Well done to all of the students from our Partnership that participated on the day.
Thanks to Justin Mifsud the Head of PE from Dartmouth for bringing his students to the event. Jeanette Green from Ivybridge Junior Badminton Club and South + West Devon School Sport Partnership who organised the event. Helen Serjeant SSCO and PDM for our Partnership, Chris Tregidgo who is the Community Sport Manager at Ivybridge Community College, Adam Warden and Dan Turner students from year 13 at Ivybridge Community College who all helped make the tournament run smoothly.
